HighChem Secures Sales Agency Rights for Chinese Semiconductor Materials
HighChem Company Limited (Head office: Minato-Minato-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Ushio Taka hereinafter HighChem), has announced a new sales agency agreement signed on February 21st with Bengbu Zhongheng New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. (Headquartered in Anhui Province, China, referred to as Zhongheng New Materials). Under this agreement, HighChem will commence the sales of spherical silica, primarily used as a filler in semiconductor encapsulants, and spherical alumina, used in thermal materials for batteries and semiconductors. The designated sales territories for these products include Japan and Japanese companies abroad.
Filler for semiconductor encapsulant: "Spherical silica"
Spherical silica is a material mainly used as a filler for semiconductor encapsulants. Semiconductor encapsulation material is an epoxy resin molding material that protects semiconductors from light, heat, moisture, dust, impact, etc. By mixing fillers with the resin material, it is possible to reduce the cost and improve the functionality of semiconductor encapsulation materials.
Zhongheng New Material's spherical silica features a sphericity rate of over 95%, high purity, and exceptional fluidity. Currently holding the position as the third-largest supplier in China, Zhongheng New Materials' spherical silica is utilized in a variety of applications including fillers for encapsulants, electronic component inks, optical fibers, and cosmetic materials. Semiconductor heat dissipation material: "Spherical alumina"
Spherical alumina is used as a heat dissipation material for batteries and semiconductors. It is made from spheroidized aluminum oxide, and has high heat dissipation properties, so it is used as a filler in heat dissipation sheets. Currently, there is a growing demand for materials that can efficiently dissipate heat in order to electrify automobiles and make equipment smaller and lighter.
Zhongheng's new material, spherical alumina, has been used not only as a heat dissipating material, but also as honeycomb ceramics and abrasives.
